My hypothesis

The United States Government cannot support Americans out of work forever and the with the virus still spreading, we need to look at other options to stabilize the economy. 

• The who: The United States Government
• The what: Level of debt is alarming, the government is distributing money to American business to try to help them stay afloat as well as putting money into hospitals to save lives.
• The why: With the country on lockdown, Americans are not spending money and as a result businesses are filing for bankruptcy and laying off workers.

3) This is your 'hypothesis' about the opportunity. It is a statement of your belief related to an opportunity. I'd like you to test the boundaries of the hypothesis by pushing and prodding each of the three elements. That means:

• Testing the who: How can we create jobs for Americans? 
• Testing the what: Which businesses are struggling the most? Essential or non-essential?
• Testing the why: How can we get back to a stable economy? Should the government create projects for people to work on? Should companies be forced to rehire all of their previous employees before accepting government aid?

Interviews: After interviewing five of my family members, this is the feedback/new ideas that I received!

- Reopening businesses up to proper health standards ex: implementing sanitation stations everywhere, closing public bathrooms, opening outdoor seating at restaurants/ building outdoor space at traditionally indoor restaurants

- Implementing projects such as bridges, road work, buildings, libraries, etc to get people working while also improving local communities and making travel more efficient

- Cutting back on government spending in areas that are not necessary to focus on during a crisis

- Non-essential businesses opening up will make a huge difference in the falling economy because this is where people can spend a lot of money, if they're able to during these times, which will make more of an impact than purchasing groceries which we are already doing in the worst of times

I learned that my "opportunity" is easier said than done but with the country slowly opening, there is hope that some of our ideas will be implemented and Americans will be back in good shape.
