Figuring Out Buyer Behavior

Interviewees: Brad, Ali, Kayla / All currently in my segment of unemployed

Brad: Unemployed due to coronavirus, couldn't graduate because needed to complete an internship for graduation. To Brad, money is the most important factor and he doesn't mind going out of his way to look for a job because he is a big spender and needs the income. He says that he has been looking for jobs online mostly because he doesn't have many connections in other fields. Brad says that he evaluates jobs based on how much money they give him. He doesn't mind hard work if he is being correctly compensated.

Ali: Currently on a job freeze at PR Firm because of coronavirus. Ali is a skilled worker and says that it is important to her that her skills are being taken into consideration and that she is doing a job worthy of her skill set. She doesn't want to waste her time on jobs that wont help her gain knowledge. She is willing to take some time off work if it means waiting for the right job that pays right and will help her grow in the future. Ali determines if a job was beneficial to her based on her connections and what skills she learns after the job is completed. She thinks that her family friends will be able to connect her to a new PR Firm at the beginning of September.

Kayla: Just was let go from Steve Madden due to job cuts. She worked for them as an intern for two summers and due to the intense damage the company has taken on financially, they cannot support interns anymore. Kayla says that she values where she works over how much money she makes. Kayla was getting great benefits from Steve Madden such as 40% off and she loved the company's attitude and what they stand for. Kayla respects companies that try to minimize their carbon footprint and have eco-friendly factories.

After constructing these interviews I have found that what people value is important to my business model. Jobs4You needs to focus on not just giving our customers a lot of money but also improving their skill set while being environmentally friendly. There are so many more things to focus on than just money!!! A company that provides knowledge and good pay is already more valuable than the jobs we have to offer. We need to find good skilled jobs that for the time being will provide good pay and create loyal customers.
